International Legal Intern to join our team.

Business Description

ESL Passport is a start-up company in the education industry, specifically tailored to the field of ESL and International Education.  As our clientele exists in multiple countries around the world, our legal documents must meet the needs of numerous regulations.



Research current laws pertaining to online global businesses.

Research current practices and trends when hiring overseas consultants, structuring liability and terms documents.

Review our current documentation and make annotations.

Assist in creating and tracking system for legal document workflow.

Establish contact with ESL industry legal teams.

Participate in Quarterly meeting.

  • Be prepared with critiques and ideas for improving/creating current practices.

Participate in regularly scheduled feedback meetings with CEO.



ESL Passport is looking for international law students (undergraduate or graduate may apply) who can fulfill the above role virtually.  There will be two monthly meetings to review goals, progress, and findings.  Applicants should have excellent verbal and written communications skills.  Experience with Microsoft Office programs is required; experience with Dropbox and Asana is preferred. Knowledge of Mandarin Chinese, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese WeChat, Line, and/or Whatsapp are bonuses.

Required to work 10 hours a week. For university credit, the intern must complete 150 hours in a semester.
